A college education is important to me because . . .

it is giving me the tools that I need to fulfill my dreams of becoming a Registered Nurse. I have met so many great people, and learned lots of things that I will use for the rest of my life. The experiences I have had during my time at VCU will truly never be forgotten. I am so thankful for my college experience. It has definitely had a positive outcome on many aspects of my life, and as a person overall.

Having a Scholars Program Advisor helps me to . . .

stay on top of the things I need to do. My Scholars Advisor is also someone that I can go to if I have any questions about school, life, etc. Having an advisor is one of the great aspects of the program overall because it gives us students someone to turn to for guidance with things that they themselves may have experienced at some point in their lives as well.
